Analisis Daya Gabung dan Aksi Gen Jagung (Zea mays L) menggunakan Rancangan Perkawinan Line x Tester

Nilai daya gabung digunakan untuk pemilihan tetua dan mendapatkan informasi yang diperlukan tentang aksi gen mengendalikan sifat tanaman. Daya umum (DGU) berhubungan dengan aditif. khusus (DGK) non Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui DGU DGK serta hasil persilangan jagung menggunakan rancangan perkawinan line x tester. Informasi diperoleh sebagai acuan dalam pengembangan perbaikan populasi berdaya tinggi. dilakukan di Desa Bendo, Kecamatan Pare, Kabupaten Kediri. Bahan genetik yaitu 4 (A, B, C, D), tester (E, F, G, H) koleksi Universitas Brawijaya 16 kombinasi persilangan. Disusun berdasarkan acak kelompok, diulang 3 kali. Karakter diamati meliputi umur silking (HST), tasselling panen bobot tongkol perplot (kg), potensi (ton ha-1), tinggi tanaman (cm), letak panjang diameter jumlah baris biji, tanpa klobot (g), biji pertongkol 100 rendemen (%), kadar air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa A, B F memiliki nilai baik pada karakter komponen hasil. Galur tersebut bisa penyusun perakitan varietas sintetik. Kombinasi AxG, DXG, BxG, BxE, CxH., AxE, AxH menghasilkan Dari data varian secara lebih dibandingkan mengindikasikan non-aditif mendominasi pewarisan sebagian besar
